Not as good as I thought!

Well I am not as good as I had hoped with this blog. It really is hard to sit down and gather my thought and have some "ME" time.
There are a few pictures I would like to post over the happenings of the last couple months...

Devan at the dentist...watching Cat in the Hat on the ceiling while he waits!

It was Lailas turn and she was such a big girl! This one is Laila and her grandpa! She really loves her grandpa!!!!!!!

Devan and Laila helped me make cupcakes for Easter...the best part for them was licking the bowl afterwards!
We went to the park during Devans spring break (i took off a couple days!!!)

Laila really loved the park
Ill get better at this posting. I really want to have this as a memory for the kids! Life is hectic and before you know it months have gone by!!! The summer is coming and I have lots of pictures of the kids outdoors. They love being outside and enjoying this great Flordia weather!

Rambling...

Well I haven't been as good as I had hoped with this blog. Life is busy. Work, Devan 's homework, cook, clean, bath time, story time...well there isnt much me time. I normally go to sleep soon after the kids do.

Devan has glasses... he looks so handsome!!!!!

I still work for a dr in the area and LOVE my job. I really enjoy what I do and the people I work with. God truely does work in wonderful ways. It's truely a blessing this job was put in front of me.

Devan has lost his front two teeth! The tooth fairy came and he has said he wishes the fairy would just put a little toy under his pillow instead of money. So, I talked to the tooth fairy and she will do this next time.

The kids so enjoy their grandpa/grandma's house. They stay their one night a week and look forward to it by Saturday! Heres one of my favorite pictures....

Through the eyes of a child

Today we went to church and I really loved the guest speaker. Devan always loves to watch the drummer playing the drums. When we returned home Devan wanted to play outside while Laila went down for a nap. I heard him in the back yard singing. I grabbed my recorder and quietly recorded him so he wouldn't see me. After a few seconds, I could tell he was singing songs from this mornings church service!

(you will need to go to the bottom of my page and pause the music in order to hear)

I thought it was so sweet and he gives a sweet smile when he notices me at the end! HE DOES PAY ATTENTION!!!!! Well, sometimes.

Fair 2009...

Memories....I love taking the kids places they enjoy. Smiles, laughs, memories. That's what it is all about, right? Here are some of my fav pictures from the Fair!

They had so much fun. It really was a good time. Although, you dont realize how quick you go through money there! It was worth it in the end!

A Day at the Fair

I love the fair. I really love the atmosphere. Devan, Laila, grandma, grandpa, and Aunt Stephanie and myself all went to the fair. The kids had so much fun. I love seeing them smile and have fun. I dont mind spending money on things like that because it's memories the kids have.

They really are great "babies" and I love every minute of being a mommy. I'll post pics of the fair as soon as I get them downloaded.

I have finished a full month of my new job. I. Love. It. It seems so natural. Its feels as though I have been there for years. God truly knows what is best. I know I wouldn't have been happy at the bank for long. I really like my job and feel that it was/is my calling. It makes me happy and intern will make my kids happy.

Pics will come soon. Gotta prepare for the work week.

What a difference a week makes...

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence." Jeremiah 17:7

I had hope but I struggled with confidence.

Last Friday, I felt down on my luck. I felt as though I was never going to find the "perfect" job. I had interviews but no call backs. I felt pretty down, had no confidence, and depressed.

Last Sunday, the kids were in bed and I was in bed reading. I kept thinking to myself, "what am I going to do, I HAVE to find something, anything!" I was worried, mad, and upset. I reached over and flipped open my bible not turning to any particular page. The first verse my eyes landed on...

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the
Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence." Jeremiah 17:7
.
I prayed and asked the Lord...please, help me, I have confidence You know what is best for me. Then, I STOPPED worrying, I just stopped.
.
Today, two. Two job offers! I was sitting here this afternoon worried about which one to pick! This day last week, I was worried about not having ONE!!!! I had a bank offer and a medical admin offer. Well, my schooling was leaning me towards the medical, which it what I chose. Its amazing, I have tried for over a year and a half for the medical field.
.
So.........as it has ended. I start Monday!!! I know everything will work out. I have come such a long way already, all I can go is UP!

Grandparents Day

Today is grandparents day. I'm lucky to have my granny visiting for a few weeks from Georgia. My granny and I are really close and I have always talked to her as though she was a friend.

Here is a pic of me and my granny (with Stephanie)

Today by the way, was a better day than yesterday! Devan and Laila listened better. I think it helped they got 12 hours sleep last night!!!!! Sometimes I think they are sleep deprived. Busy weeks leads to sleepy children...LOL.

Talking to a wall

It feels as though thats what I have done....I've been talking to a wall all day. I feel like sometimes my kids are DEAF!! Seriously though, at times I feel like all I do is say...No, Leave that alone, be nice, stop it. Needless to say, they didn't listen very well today! Laila is going through this "terrible 3's phase" (she skipped the terrible twos I suppose!) Hopefully, them getting to bed early tonight, they'll be better for tomorrow. Otherwise I'll be hitting my head against the wall this time tomorrow if not!
